Black in color, the 051 Big River is a mediumsoft and elastic monofilament, designed for use in large rivers with heavy floats, strong currents, and demanding fights that require extensive use of the drag and anti-reverse. It has a slightly hard surface due to a coating that makes it suitable for heavy rigs, with torpedoes or large shot, or crowns even with significant weights. It has been tested in rivers such as the Po, Adda, Ticino, and Taro. It is recommended for creating a loop, a simple knot, or a figure-eight knot; however, a double knot is not advised.
